1PM-2:15pm: Service Project at the United Way of Champaign County

5 Dunlap Court, Savoy

We are excited to partner with the United Way of Champaign County to help them sort books for their book drive. We will be sorting books based on condition and by age range!

We will be meeting at the United Way of Champaign County (5 Dunlap Court, Savoy).  This is just minutes from either the Hyatt or Riggs Beer Co.

2:30: Travel to Riggs

For those interested, we will meet at the Hyatt (217 N. Neil St., Champaign) to coordinate rides and Uber/Lyft to Riggs.  Please be ready to leave by 2:45 outside the Hyatt.  Riggs is about 15 minutes from the Hyatt or about 10 minutes from the United Way.  As a reminder, your Hyatt reservation does include ONE parking pass for the parking garage connected to the hotel.   We will NOT be able to leave any cars at the United Way so either head downtown to drop off your car or go directly to Riggs after the service project. See parking information attached on best places to park downtown including some free options this weekend!

3PM-6PM: Riggs Beer Co Social

1901 S. High Cross Rd., Urbana

The main event will be an outdoor social at Riggs Beer Company (1901 S. High Cross Rd., Urbana) from 3pm-6pm.  C&C KITCHEN FOOD TRUCK is scheduled to be at Riggs that afternoon or you can bring in your own food.   Non-alcoholic beverages are available.  No outside drinks or coolers are allowed.  Check out more about Riggs Beer Company at www.riggsbeer.com.  We will present the 2020 Awards to those in attendance at Riggs.   Parking is free at Riggs.

Travel to Downtown Champaign for Dinner

The Illinois Jaycees encourages you to be responsible and to utilize Uber or Lyft if you have been drinking. If parking in Downtown Champaign without a Hyatt Hotel parking pass we encourage you to park in the Hill St. Parking Garage (123 W. Hill St—see map attached).

6:15pm-6:45pm Meet at Barrelhouse 34 to divide up for dinner

34 E Main St, Champaign

Due to restaurants staffing shortages, we may need to separate into separate groups depending on the number of people attending dinner.  We will meet back up after dinner to enjoy the rest of the evening.  All Downtown Options are within walking distance!

If you arrive downtown early, grab a drink at the Barrelhouse (34 E Main St., Champaign) which features a rooftop bar that will give you a glimpse of Downtown Champaign.  We will leave the Barrelhouse at approximately 6:45.

7pm: Dinner

Options will include Farren’sWatson’sSeven Saints and Black Dog BBQ!

8:30pm:  Gather at Pour Bros.

40 E. University Ave, Champaign

Enjoy “pour your own” craft beer from dozens of taps, specialty cocktails, and other drinks too.  This is within walking distance of all restaurants.  After Pour Bros we will explore the rest of Downtown Champaign!

Parking:

Parking is free at the Hill St. Garage and all meters this weekend!
For those staying at the Hyatt, utilize your parking pass for the garage at the Hyatt!   Do not park at meters overnight (utilize the garage!)

Hill Street Parking Deck

123 W. Hill St, Champaign

With entrances and exits on both Hill Street and Randolph Street, the Hill Street Parking Deck is the most convenient place to park in Downtown. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays!   Please pay attention to signage on which decks you can park in without a permit.  This should be Deck 2 and 3 but check signs.

Due to some parking lots closing early, we encourage you to park at the Hill St. Parking Deck if you do not have a pass at the Hyatt.  Meters along the street are free this Saturday, please do not park at a meter overnight!  Be careful and do not park in private lots…you could be towed!  We encourage you to utilize public parking options provide above.
