Tiffany M. E. Mathis is CEO & Executive Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois. The organization’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois currently operates in 9 locations which include 8 elementary and middle school sites throughout the local area and serves about 1,300 youth each day.

Tiffany’s previous professional roles within the Boys & Girls Club of Central Illinois include Director of Fund Development and Community Engagement, Central Unit Director, and Site Director and Staff Coordinator. In addition to Tiffany’s full-time professional role she also served as the Facilitator of Youth Services at the Phoenix Center, Central Illinois’ LGBTQ Community Center that promotes equality, health & well-being, and social and educational growth.

As an engaged community member, Tiffany dedicates her time and efforts to various non-profit boards and community service organizations. She serves as a Board Member for Springfield Public School District 186 and is Vice-Chair of the Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service (Serve Illinois). Mrs. Mathis is President of the Rotary Club of Midtown Springfield, serves on the Board of Trustees for the Hoogland Center for the Arts, and is a member of the LGBTQ Advisory Committee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She is also proud to be a member of the Order of Eastern Star Estella No. 3. 

Some of Tiffany’s accomplishments include receiving the 2019 Springfield NAACP Community Service Award and named to Leadership Illinois Class of 2019, Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2018 and received the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow award for her dedication to serving others. She also is the Rotary International District 6460 Difference Maker award recipient.


Tiffany graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Ashford University where she was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society. Tiffany is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration.  She also earned an associate degree in Vocal Performance and Acting from Illinois State University. In her spare time, she performs with the funk/blues band “BaaadBoyz.”

Tiffany is being recognized in the category of Humanitarian and/or Volunteer Leadership. She was nominated by the Springfield Jaycees. She lives in Springfield with her husband, Frank and children, Avery-Jonae, Nylah-Nicole, and August-Sebastian.
